Getting Started
What is NeverMissCall?+−
NeverMissCall is an AI-powered service that captures your missed calls and automatically handles them via text. When a customer calls and you can't answer, the AI texts them within seconds, identifies what they need, gives a quote, checks your calendar, and books the appointment — all without you lifting a finger.
How do I sign up?+−
Choose a plan (Solo, Growth, or Power) and complete checkout with your email and payment info — your account is created automatically. After purchase, a live NMC agent can walk you through setup on a call, or you can use the setup wizard yourself in about 5 minutes.
Do I have to set this up myself?+−
No. You don't have to. Book a short screen-share call and a live NMC agent sets up your hours, services, pricing, service area, and calendar with you. The setup wizard is there if you'd rather do it yourself, and your progress is saved so you can leave and come back anytime.
How long does setup take?+−
About 5 minutes. The 10-step wizard covers your business info, address, operating hours, services & pricing, team, calendar connection, your dedicated number, and call forwarding. If you'd rather not do it yourself, a live NMC agent will do it with you on a call. Your progress is saved, so you can leave and come back anytime.
Do I need to learn new software?+−
No. NeverMissCall works with your existing calendar — Jobber, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Outlook. New appointments appear automatically in your calendar. There's no new app to install or learn.
Pricing & Billing
How much does it cost?+−
Solo: $99/month with founder pricing (regularly $129) for 150 missed-call leads — best for one-person shops. Growth: $279/month for 300 leads. Power: $549/month for 600 leads. All plans include a 30-day free trial. Pricing is flat — no per-call fees, no per-text charges, no hidden costs.
Is there a free trial?+−
Yes, all plans include a 30-day free trial that starts at signup. Your card is collected at signup but not charged until day 30, and we'll email you a reminder with a one-click cancel link before the first charge. You can cancel anytime.
What happens if I go over my call limit?+−
When you use all your missed-call leads for the month, new missed calls won't trigger the AI until your next billing period. You can upgrade to a higher plan for more capacity — after your trial, upgrades take effect immediately. Text support and a live NMC agent will move you to the right plan.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?+−
Yes. After your trial, upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge, and downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle — you keep your current features until then. During the free trial you can downgrade anytime; to move up a tier during the trial, you'd cancel and re-subscribe at the higher tier. If you'd rather not do it yourself, text support and a live NMC agent will move you to the right plan.
How do I cancel?+−
Cancel anytime from your account dashboard under Subscription, or text support and a live NMC agent will take care of it for you. Your service continues through the end of the current billing period. No refunds for unused time or remaining calls.
How It Works
How does the AI handle a missed call?+−
Within 10 seconds of your missed call, the AI sends the caller a text. It identifies what service they need, gives your price quote, validates their address is in your service area, calculates travel time, checks your calendar for real availability, and books the appointment. The entire conversation happens via text message.
What happens if the caller is outside my service area?+−
The AI checks the caller's address against your configured service radius. If they're too far away, the AI politely lets them know you don't service their area. No appointment is booked and no quota is wasted on an out-of-area lead.
Can customers cancel or reschedule via text?+−
Yes. If a caller says they want to cancel or reschedule an existing appointment, the AI looks up their appointment, confirms the action, and updates your calendar automatically. For reschedules, the AI books the new time first, then cancels the old one — so if anything goes wrong, the original appointment is preserved.
Does the AI give price quotes?+−
Yes. When a caller describes their problem, the AI matches it to your service list and quotes your price. You set your prices during setup. If the caller's issue doesn't match any of your listed services, the AI lets them know it needs to check with you.
How fast does the AI respond to a missed call?+−
Within 10 seconds. As soon as your phone registers a missed call, NeverMissCall sends the first text to the caller. Over 50% of customers hire whoever responds first, so speed matters.
Calendar & Scheduling
Which calendars are supported?+−
Jobber, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook are all fully supported. You connect your calendar during setup via a secure OAuth flow — your credentials are encrypted and never shared.
How does travel time calculation work?+−
NeverMissCall uses your business address and the caller's address to calculate drive time. Before offering a slot, the AI checks that you can realistically travel from your previous job to the next one within the available time gap. This prevents overbooking.
What are travel blocks?+−
Travel blocks are time slots reserved in your calendar for driving between jobs. When the AI books an appointment that isn't your first of the day, it adds a travel block before it so your calendar reflects the actual drive time. These show up as [TRAVEL] entries in your calendar.
Can I have multiple technicians with separate calendars?+−
Yes, on the Growth and Power plans. Each technician connects their own calendar on your company's calendar provider (Jobber, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Outlook). When a caller requests an appointment, the AI checks all connected calendars and finds the best available slot across your entire team.
Texting & Compliance
Do I keep my own phone number?+−
Yes. Nothing changes about the number on your truck, your invoices, or your business cards — you keep it, and you keep answering it. NeverMissCall gives you a separate dedicated number, and you set your existing line to forward to it only when you don't pick up. Calls you answer never reach us; we handle the ones you miss.
Why does my business number need to be verified?+−
US mobile carriers require every business that texts customers to be verified — it's how they keep spam off the network. NeverMissCall assigns you a dedicated business number and handles the entire verification paperwork on your behalf. There's nothing for you to file.
How long does verification take?+−
Usually about 3 business days, and it typically completes during your free trial. You can finish all your other setup steps while it's in review. We'll let you know when it clears, and you can text support any time to ask a live NMC agent where it stands.
Do I need an EIN?+−
No. Sole proprietors don't need an EIN to get verified, and we never ask for a Social Security Number. If your business has an EIN, you can provide it — just make sure it matches your legal business name.
How do callers opt out of texts?+−
Callers can text 'STOP' at any time to opt out of receiving text messages. They can text 'HELP' for assistance. These are standard carrier-required keywords that NeverMissCall handles automatically.
Troubleshooting
How do I get help?+−
Text (888) 832-8240 with what you need and pick a time — a live NMC agent will call you back at that time on your business number on file. This support line is text-only, so please text rather than call. Live callbacks are for active subscribers; anyone else can email support@nevermisscall.com.
Why didn't the AI respond to a missed call?+−
Text support and a live NMC agent will call you back and sort it out. The usual causes: your monthly quota is used up, your number's carrier verification is still in review, or call forwarding from your business number to your NeverMissCall number isn't set up correctly.
My quota ran out — what happens?+−
When your quota is exhausted, new missed calls won't trigger the AI until your next billing period. Your quota resets automatically at the start of each month. Text support and a live NMC agent will move you to a bigger plan.
My calendar shows wrong times+−
This is usually a timezone issue. Text support and a live NMC agent will fix it with you on the call. If you'd rather do it yourself, go to Setup in your account, revisit the Operating Hours step, and check the timezone. All appointment times are displayed in your local timezone.
My number's verification was rejected+−
Text support and a live NMC agent will call you back. We handle the verification paperwork on your behalf, so we'll review the rejection reason, correct the submission, and resubmit it for you. Not an active subscriber yet? Email support@nevermisscall.com.
